1. About Grand Publishers
Grand Publishers is a hybrid publishing imprint providing editorial review, publishing, production, and distribution services to authors worldwide.
We are not a literary agent, a traditional advance-paying publisher, or a self-publishing platform. We operate on a selective, author-funded publishing model, described in section 5.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal right to submit and publish the manuscript. If you are a business customer, the late payment and liability clauses apply as written for B2B.
By submitting work, you warrant that:
- The manuscript is your original work, or you hold all necessary rights
- The work does not infringe any third-party rights
- The work does not contain unlawful, defamatory, or prohibited material
3. Submissions and editorial review
Submission does not guarantee publication. All manuscripts are subject to editorial review, and submission alone does not imply acceptance, publication, or an obligation to proceed.
We reserve the sole right to determine whether a manuscript is suitable for our imprint, whether revisions are required, and whether we decline to proceed.
Editorial reviews are typically completed within 24 to 48 hours, but timelines may vary depending on volume and complexity.
4. No guarantees
Grand Publishers makes no guarantees regarding sales volume, bestseller status, income or profit, retail placement, or media coverage and publicity.

5. Publishing model and financial structure
Our model differs from traditional and self-publishing models:
- Authors retain 100% of intellectual property rights in their work
- Copyright is not assigned to Grand Publishers at any point
- Production and publishing costs are funded upfront
- Commercial terms are set out per title in the individual publishing agreement
Any fees charged reflect editorial development, production and design, publishing infrastructure, distribution setup, and project management. Fees are disclosed before any agreement is finalised.
The fees payable are those disclosed and agreed in writing before work begins. Any further commercial terms that apply to a title are stated in that title's publishing agreement, and nothing is charged that is not set out there.
6. Payments
Fees must be paid as agreed before services commence. Payments are non-refundable once work has begun, unless required by law.
Fees may be charged in GBP or equivalent. Authors are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or fees in their jurisdiction.
7. Refunds and cancellations
Refunds may be considered at our discretion if services have not commenced. Once editorial or production work has started, refunds are generally not available due to time, labour, and third-party costs already incurred.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights under applicable law. Our full position is set out in the Refund Policy.
8. Intellectual property
You retain all rights to your manuscript and final published work.
You grant Grand Publishers a limited, non-exclusive licence to edit, format and produce the work, publish and distribute it as agreed, and display excerpts for promotional purposes unless you opt out.
All branding, processes, templates, and materials created by Grand Publishers remain our intellectual property.
9. Distribution and third-party platforms
Distribution is provided through third-party platforms. We are not responsible for platform policy changes, account suspensions by retailers, or algorithmic visibility and rankings. Retailers operate independently and at their discretion.
11. Privacy and data protection
We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR, EU GDPR and applicable international data protection laws, on the bases of contractual necessity, legitimate interest, legal obligation and consent where required.
You have the right to access your data, request correction or deletion, object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent. Requests can be made via info@grandpublishers.co.uk.

12. Confidentiality
We treat manuscripts and personal information as confidential. Confidentiality obligations do not apply where disclosure is required by law.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you for services.
Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where prohibited by law.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate services if these Terms are breached, misrepresentation is discovered, or illegal or unethical conduct occurs. Any outstanding obligations remain enforceable.
15. Advertising and representations
We do not make false earnings claims, guarantee outcomes, or misrepresent our services. All marketing materials are informational and compliant with advertising platform policies.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer laws in your country provide otherwise.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
